floridababe, It's been quite a ride for you and a long one too. I wouldn't be in too much of a rush just yet to attempt reconciling. He's just starting the reconnecting w/his family and he's still got to reconnect w/you. Also, he's got to prove himself trustworthy once again. If you take him back too soon, he'll have no respect for you. Take things very slowly, for he needs to fully understand the depth of the destruction that he left behind. He now needs to earn your respect, friendship trust back once again.
BTW, I'm very glad he is slowly coming back to earth. Again, take it very slowly.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
