People either love algebra or hate it. IF the teacher is good at all, he/she should fit some time in to help him. All he needs to do is ask. In fact, the teacher will be impressed that he is doing something to figure it out, rather than just giving us (as many students do).

There are tutors all over the place. I use to do that. It costs between 20 - 40 bucks an hour around here for a good tutor.

I'm glad you spent that time with him trying to figure it out. I remember all the times my dad did my math with me. He was ALWAYS there when I needed him and I knew that. Your son knows that about you, too. You're a great mom.
