She is planning to go to college near her boyfriend, and the only criteria that interests her in colleges is the proximity to the boyfriend's school. So, since people on this board say that I give good advice and I am wise, I sent her a long letter explaining that of all reasons to choose a college, following her boyfriend is one of the worst ones. And I went on and on about how she is growing into adulthood and needs to choose a place where she can blossom on her own. Not 5 minutes after I sent the email, my sister called and said, "What did you write to G? She is freaking out!" So I guess not everyone thinks I give good advice.
