I never new the old version, Hoozh, but came to you and your sitch midstream, I guess. But I sure do love -- and respect the HELL out of -- this new version.

FWIW, I think you'd be a fine catch.

thank you Puppy.

I'm happy to say, I think so too. And I don't need the pain anymore.

I can't tell you how much your respect means to me, pup.

Interesting. As a former ER nurse, I can verify that there's definitely something to that whole full-moon thing.

I did a little spiritual direction-type thing this evening with a sister who is a chaplain I've worked with. She's on the chaplaincy staff of the system that H used to work with, and I was aware she would know of him--but many people in the field know him. And she was suggested to me, I didn't choose to talk with her because of H. She told me that she began to see a lot of changes in H in the months before he left that hospital, and was sad to see him apparently spinning out of control. Apparently a lot going on with him for awhile.

H,
People see the changes that are taking place in our spouses long before we do. We lived with them day in and day out and changes were very subtle to us until one day they announce they are done w/us and the marriage. People still come up to me and talk about the strange behavior of my xh prior to him walking out the door. When you are out of the middle of the drama, sit down and look back over the years prior to him walking....you'll start to put the pieces of the puzzle then of the changes. You can't do this while in the middle of the emotional rollercoaster.

Please take care of yourself.

Thank you, snodderly! I am beginning to do that. I believe the changes began much earlier than I first realized.

Thanks for looking in on me. I am taking care of myself--much better than I have done in many years.

and I have to brag just a little--I've lost 13 lbs. since the first of the year! woo-hoo!

Congratulations on the weight loss. I'm glad to see that you are taking care of yourself. Keep up the good work!

The changes usually begin about 18 months prior to the "speach" that they give us. They are very subtle to us, but others can see the changes much clearer than we can.

As time moves along, others will also begin to mention the changes your h was making and one day, the entire situation will become very clear to you and then you'll have a better understanding that this didn't change over night.

Congrats on the weight loss hm!!!! It is easy to lose on the DB diet when the bombs first start dropping, but you have to have been doing some real work since the beginning of the year to lose 13 lbs!

WAY TO GO!!!! \:\)

Yeah, baby!!! Soon you'll have to change your name to "hoosierHOTmama"!!!

What a wonderful example -- emotionally, physically, spiritually -- you are modeling for your daughter, Hoozh. We can TALK to our kids until we're blue in the face, but it is the BEHAVIOR we model to them and the character we display that will truly shape their lives.

thanks. actually, I haven't been doing all that much work--when it's time for this to happen, it isn't all that much work. I think that over the past few weeks the anger dropped off as well, and I don't need all of the extra insulation to protect me, or the heaviness to hold me down. I feel lighter, so my body is reflecting that. And I'm eating healthy stuff, not just putting food in my face. Actually, healthy food is the only thing at all appealing right now.

I've been having really bizarre dreams over the past week. I'll spare y'all the details, but it seems I have a lot of bad stuff exiting my body! Interesting symbol there, but pretty easy to figure out!
