smw, kalni, kat, gypsy (and all you lurkers) - thanks for stopping by!

Still working with our C's. Our blending issues sure haven't gone away. That's kind of what I was referring to a little while ago about "old patterns" re-emerging. The difference is in the way it affects the dynamic between W and I. In the past, we let things drive a wedge between us, both of us digging our heels in and not wanting to budge. Now it is more of an open conversation and we try our best to deal with the girls in a more unified way. We're not perfect, but it is much more constructive.

Yea, there is a lot going on. Sometimes I wonder if that's just life. But the list of things now (house, ? expanding family, MC, etc) sure does beat the list from last year (separation, looming D, OM, moving, new job). Definitely a much more productive and forward-looking list now!

Second floor walls are up. The roof is to be put in within the next week, but winter weather has slowed down progress. We are really excited seeing it take shape. Kitchen design is just about done and I can't wait to pick out those cabinet knobs.

W is great, loveing, attentive, the alien is gone. XOM is gone. But I have noticed a strange thing - she seems insecure, sometimes bordering on suspicious, of some things I do. If she notices I get email, she always asks who it is from. When I make a phone call, she wants to know to who and why. I don't mind telling her, but it is almost like I was the one who had the A and she needs reassurance I am no longer contacting the OP. Weird.

Hey Peter..

*hugs*

Great job on paying attention to red flags with your wife! How do you address her concerns.. what is going on beneath her questions? Do you talk about this in therapy?

This is the type of little worm that wreaks destruction until it's addressed.

*hugs*

She knows about my online support system, so that's not the issue. When I comment about it to her, she just says she is interested in what I am doing. Maybe I am just being overly sensitive. I think I will bring it up in MC, but a part of me thinks it is my brain making an issue out of nothing.

The weekend was uneventful. We had a nice relaxing date Saturday but otherwise nothing really to report.

Shingling the roof as we speak. Gotta hand it to the crew, cause they are in sub-zero temps today (not even adding wind chill). Posted some pics on FB for those that haven't stumbled upon them yet. I feel like a proud father wanting to show pics of his kids to everyone that will stop to look at them.

Speaking of which - my vow of abstinence (and Master of My Domain) continues until the end of the month. Maybe that is why I am overly sensitive lately.

The pics were amazing. So hard to believe some of the stuff they can do with it being soooo cold. When is the house supposed to be done?

You have every right to be proud. What a difference a year makes! Keep on trucking. Hugs.

Nice place in the woods. Your going to have to fence in a vegetable garden to keep the deer from eating it. Is the green paper housewrap a competitor to Tyvek?

We are hoping to move in shortly after school is over. The builder has a reputation for building nice homes, but also for rarely finishing on time. The green siding isn't paper - they are sheets of plywood. They are hoping to get the roof shingled by this weekend, then windows in and the place wrapped so they can heat the interior within the next week or so. There is still snow in the basement from last month's storm. Brrrr...
