Thats certainly the way it would appear to me.

Remarriage is not going to be an option for me.

Yeah, same for me.

Plus I see my H's journey taking years and years. He has a lot of growing up to do, and a ton of issues to sort through.

It's good that we all try though. Painful as it is sometimes, we are better for it.

Hey all! Its been a BANNER weekend and start of week so far!

Took the day off of work on Friday because DD was supposed to get her library card. They have to EARN their cards by reading books and taking AR tests. It takes 25 points to get the card and she has been reading 1/2 pt. books, so she has really put some effort in. She was super excited and so my MIL, H and I went to the school to watch the assembly (Student of the month, library card, achievements, etc...held once a month.) So they read off all the names and not hers. So I pulled her teacher aside (in the assembly) and asked her what was up and she was going to get it handled. Much discussion ensues and still nothing. They saw her upset and crying and chose not to rectify the situation by just calling her up at the end. Needless to say I was PISSED! I confronted the principal, who stammered around and tried to lay blame on the ladies who handled it. So I called them and actually got one of them to call me back. She alternated between apologetic and snappy, which didn't go very far with me. It didn't change what happened, but they got my message LOUD & CLEAR!!!

Friday afternoon was spent at the gyn. office to see if we could figure out some problems I'm having and no such luck. Get to have an ultrasound and another visit w/dr. fun, fun! I love being a girls sometimes.

Saturday morning took DS to baseball tryouts. They get to catch 3 fly balls, field 3 grounders & hit 3 pitches and they are then rated and put on a team. 1st flyball, caught it no problem. 2nd flyball, he runs in. Grass is wet and he slips, puts his hand down to catch himself and his left eye ended up where his glove should be...HUGE bump, eye swollen shut. So off to the medi center we go. I swear they are either going to call CPS on me or get that kid a bubble wrap suit. So he is ok, but has 2 black eyes and is truly a sight to behold.

Now I find out I get to have my performance review day after tomorrow. Yipee Skippee. That will be fun.

Maybe I'll be struck by lightning before then...

LOL The visual on your son is funny. But really, sounds like most active little boys. I've yet to meet one that hasn't broken a bone or had a few black eyes. Luckily kids bounce back quickly.

So sorry to hear about DDs disappointments. That totally sucks that the school not only didn't catch the mistake but then didn't do anything to make it up to her.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Take care of yourself!

(((Corey)))

Corey..I spent my youth playing first base for various baseball teams..from maybe 6 yrs. old until a soph. in high school..Our local field was sititng on a big rock..this rock contantly reproduced little rocks..so I spent years..with 2 black eyes and bleeding nose during the summer months from bad hops, bad throws..I know all about the black eyes...
