Lovely lovely weekend. Friday the painted showed up (I am having the first floor painted). I knew what colors I wanted, he went and bought them, and ta-da...big bucks shelled out...first floor painted. I am breathless, what a makeover, truly warm and wonderful. Bought a new computer armoire and when I find two bulky men (any takers?), the old one will be moved to the garage, until I can find someone to take it.
Perfect change. Love it.
Vented to xH Friday night (not at him, TO him, felt detached like he was just another friend to complain to) about the house being a mess, and no one there to help me put it back together. He offered to come move things, but I thanked him, declined, and told him it would happen, come together in time.
Spent Saturday out of the house since it looks like it exploded (china/crystal out, paint/ladders everywhere, painter NOT thrilled with kids watching him paint lol). We had a lovely day together, at the Magic House, with my neighbor and her kiddos.
At work today, with a horrible cold, but plugging on....the world doesn't stop when Mommy is sick.
Not for the good mommies like you it doesn't (nor for the good daddies either, come to think of it.)
But all the same don't forget to take care of Mommy.
Let me know how you manage to vent to your ex without it being AT him -- that's no mean feat (for me at least). And a remarkable level of detachment. Did I mention you are my hero? Once or twice or so?
