Dear ones,

I took your advice and wrote a text in my own words, something like, "Thanks for your advice about the lessons, it helped a lot! I decided to go ahead and do them. It was great to see you!" It seemed weird to thank him for dinner, since it seems weird to thank a "friend" for meeting me (shouldn't they want to do that?).

I emailed both the teachers, I have an appointment to see one of them on saturday. If I hear from the other I'll meet her on Sunday and then head back to my family in virginia...

sleep well, dear ones
love,
T

Yeah I concur, that sounded good! I think we might have misunderstood as it had seemed to me he bought dinner for you, so no, I like your text, its well pitched.

Lets see if he 'bites' and texts back about meeting again.. but if he doesnt? Its MOST likely because he is busy, he's already got stuffed planned today and tommorow and then he goes away Saturday right and probably has to prepare for that anywway.. so dont let it get to to you if he doesnt want to meet again.. ok!?

I'm still waiting for my Passionate Marriage book to arrive, think it will today...

thanks, guys!!

He just texted me: "It was good to see you too. I forgot to give you this recording that I did with XXXXX. Where should I send it?"

??????

How do I respond? Just with my mailing address? (which he already has...? I did indicate I was very confused about where I would be living for the next few months in my conversation with him).

Or do I offer to pick it up in person?? Probably way too obvious??? In case he did not "get it" from my message that I am here over the weekend for the cello lessons?

Yay! Thats great! Look at you getting text messages off him right after you just met up with him! I'm very happy for you.

Hmm... well he did say specifically, where should I "send" it.. so maybe thats a subtle message that he wont have time to meet with you, but is being kind of caring by 'letting' you know and not just ignoring your text?

How about just giving him your address and wishing him lucj with whatever it is he is doing on Saturday?

I actually wondered if it is his way of fishing for where I'll be living, since I was really unclear about that? if he just wanted to send me his music he could just email me a bunch of mp3s, but WTF knows what he is thinking.

I ended up texting him, "I'd like to hear that. You can send it to my place in atlanta, XXXXX. Have a good trip!"

So, I ended up meeting with one of the cello teachers today and it honestly was the most humiliating, shaming experience of my life. I knew I wasn't ready and I shouldn't have gone. I feel so foolish... I had been agonizing over whether or not to do these lessons for so long, I should have listened to my intuition and NOT gone to them. Thank God the other cello teacher canceled tomorrow's lesson because she is stuck out of state because of the snow. Luckily I was able to spend the evening processing it with a really good friend. I feel completely retarded because I think part of the reason I chose to do the lessons against my own better judgement was so I'd have an "excuse" to stay in NYC on the off chance that B would ask to see me again. HELLO? I have to stop making decisions this way and start living for my own happiness. It's just like... if I don't do a teaspoon full of scheming, WTF will we ever be in the same friggin' state? I will be relieved to go home tomorrow and spend two nights with my parents before flying back to ATL.

thanks for all your help with the texts \:\)

love to all,

I'm sorry to hear about your cello experience. I hope you have a lovely time with your parents and get pampered! Good job with the texts, it's true what you said that you need to live for your own happiness, also though the fact that you do live in different states does mean that you have to make more of an effort than usual. Do you think he would come and visit you? Would that opportunity ever come up?

I am back in Atlanta! It was funny, on the plane, in a half-asleep state, I thought, "where am I going...?" I have been traveling so much, I thought I was flying back to Virginia instead of leaving ... !

I went to yoga class yesterday and it was really good to be re-embraced by my yoga community here. Nothing like doing headstand to get you back in the zone...
