So the usual drill on this dating thing is search for someone that meets you criteria...get her attention....chat...phone....face to facer. I have had 5 face to facers and honestly although they all had something to offer...there was something missing. I am not saying that I will not perhaps try again with one or two but this online dating thing seems to be a tad unfair. It is too easy to expect too much becausee you can go back and search again in the hope of finding someone better. Anyhow, last night I spoke with a nice lady...41 bank head office management type...great conversationalist.....funny....smart....down to earth...loves sports...divorced two years...two kids....by far the best phone conversation so far. So now, hopefully there is a mutual physical spark. So we are going for supper on Sunday night after I drop off D8. Voila, you are up to date.
sooo...ex wife calls tonight...great mood very friendly ... she gives me the lowdown about D8. everything is going well in school yada yada yada....then she asks D8 if she wants to talk to me. I speak to D8...man do i miss her. talk to her about all the snow that we got today her schooling etc.
A half hour later, the phone rings again....ex again. this time she would like to know if I would mind picking up 2 kgs. of fresh tortellini from the fresh pasta store. To add insult to injury she asks if my mom can give her granddaughter some homemade pasta sauce! I jokingly said that perhaps she should call my mom directly and to make sure she specified that the pasta sauce was strictly for D8 and nobody else ;-) I think she got the point. She misses the Italian food but not the Italian! :-)
