A bit frustrated this morning because the deputy did not show up last night to talk to us about the vehicle incident Sunday morning. No one at the Sherrif's Dept. seems very concerned.
I have made several phone calls and no one even calls us back.
I guess they need to wait until this guy hurts someone before they show any interest.
Most of us are about as happy as we make up our minds to be.
We are on record now. The State Police finally sent a car out to look over the scene and take a report. The Trooper said that it is unlikely that it was an accident, but that we would have a very difficult time proving that it was intentional. That's not a problem because all we wanted was someone to note that this guy is coming unglued. The trooper said that the scene shows that it was a very high rate of speed and he advised us that their vehicle was totalled.
All he could suggest was a PPO, but said that would not stop a bullet. If the family does not have any luck in getting him in for mental evaluation we really can't do anything until someone does get hurt.
Good grief.

Wow Hope, So was he trying to hit the house? I would think with his history of walking around the neighborhood with a gun they would have already had some mental evaluations done whether he wanted them or not. That is very scary Hope. Take care!
It really looks like it. We have a big, old, fieldstone front porch, and it looks like he was trying to hit that. A couple of feet sooner, and he would have. As it happened, he about burried their big 4x4 Explorer into the steep ditch. It looks like a bomb went off.

omg namesake!! i am so glad you all are ok!! i wouldnt see it as an accident either. maybe her H was trying to scare her or something....maybe he was fighting with her. so glad you got it on record, and i would go ahead and get the ppo!

I was at work this afternoon, answered my phone and it was OW's H calling me!!!
My heart about stopped. He asked if I was buisy, and I said that I was, but I asked him for his insurance info. and he went and got it for me. I thanked him, said good bye and hung up!
OMG! My heart was pounding. My emotions have been shot this evening. H is concerned and the police will be notified. I feel like I need a vacation.

Wow Hope, that would have scared the shitake mushrooms out of me when OW's H called. Was he calling about insurance or did you detour him to the insurance information? You do need a vacation. A get away....
