There is a company called Westat that lets you work from home, calling people and asking them research questions for a study they are conducting. I had to do one for smoking once. It wasn't a job I wanted to do long term, but I could work from home, and I could do it when my son was sleeping. YOu have to work a minimum of 15 hours and it is mainly evening and weekend hours. Check it out if you are desperate. Again, short term it helped pay the bills. You can google it and find it.
I was afaid of that!!! Thanks for the info; I'm def. going to look into it. Actually nights and esp. weekends are great for me. H takes the kids half the weekend so I could get some major hours in then maybe. Why didn't you like it though???

H just emailed me tonight from an email I had sent him yesterday. Asked him if he could check in with his payroll (state employee) and have them deposit the check. He said "as I told you" they said they couldn't split it into biweekly but just monthly and the court ordered biweekly. I emailed back that he had said last month he would check into it & I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me. (Follows my pet theory that people always accuse you of what they are actually guilty of, he is always super paranoid about me not telling him stuff but he usually thinks he tells me stuff and doesn't. His dad does that too--even forgot to tell the kids when he was getting married (thought I told you is their most common phrase)!!!

He suggested I switch to his bank, but I said it's a little too security concious for me. I know that's good, but they fingerprint me every time I go in there and won't cash his check (it's from his account) until they call him on the phone and verify it's him. I told him I'm not interested in that, but his money is very, very safe! \:\) (And I did not do a smiley in the whole thing by the way).

I'm feeling very happy about looking for jobs all over. Feel more empowered with my life I think. I told my L today, at some point recently I think I realized, you know my H is not that great a catch or anything. I always stayed with him b/c I figured well at least he'll never leave me b/c what woman would be crazy enough besides me to put up with him???? And then he left me anyway!!! So maybe not a good plan!!!! Karen
