The kids took an inventory the night I brought them home after packing up the W. They were noting what was missing and what was left. Don't know if it makes any difference to shield them from the packing or not since they notice obvious differences around the house.
New Years' Eve spent at home with my kids, though my D was asleep long before midnight. She missed the "party" that we were so excited about. My S and I had chips and dip and we watched Rock 'n' Eve. My boy thought Dick Clark was freaky; I hate seeing them prop him up there these past few years. Though I'm sure Dick wants it.
the W told me that she had no plans on NYE. I highly doubt it. She was supposed to come Sat night and pack more stuff; but called on Sat. morning to describe how tired and exhausted she was so she wouldn't be out after work. She was supposed to come out last night and pack/take more of her stuff. didn't happen!! Too exhausted.
I went to her new apartment to look it over. I verified that she and dysfunctional BFF are on the lease together. No OM on the lease (whew!!). So I'm not TOO worried about the OM being there. Kids were excited about the place. I left them there for the first time last night. They stayed for about 2.5 hours and she brought them home.
Went by and saw her F and StpMom before going to the apartment. I guess the W has been telling them that she's been coming over to help with the kids in the mornings. I told them "No she hasn't." They didn't think so; what a bunch of hogwash.
