The insurance on the car she drives went up because it is garaged in a different locality.

I've decided to pay the insurance hike myself. I figure if either my W is serious about a D, and/or she truly feels she needs to go out and get her own insurance, then her removal of the car from the policy will make the rates go down soon enough.

If, on the other hand, she doesn't/can't get new insurance, I don't feel the need to punish her. Just because she is acting stupidly and MLCey doesn't mean that I need to sink to her level. She is still my W, and as long as that is the case I will do what I can to be there for her, even if only behind the scenes where she will never see. I need to step up and be the responsible one here since she can't.
