Well, its Sunday night and tomorrow I go back to work. Business and work sucks. The economy sucks. Great attitude to start the year.

I had a good friend send me an email tonight. It basically said "look at the bright side, 2009 can't be much worse than 2008". The problem is it could be and he could be wrong. But that isn't being positive. And it is time to be positive.

Here's what I know:

My kids are happy and healthy

I have a job and just got a new employment contract

I have great friends. Here and in person.

My ex is whacko crazy, but in a harmless way

It won't freaking stop snowing, but it's beautiful here in North Idaho

I don't have a girlfriend, but I think that is my choice at this point.

My heart didn't die in the divorce. It grew back. But in a cruel twist of fate it was stolen and taken far away

I suck at wii but it gives my children great pleasure to spank me in a great many games

Life gives you little gifts if you know where to look

That there some fantastic quotes about life from some amazing people.

Montauk, Long Island is a place I want to return to someday and climb to the top of the lighthouse and look east once more.

The is a little pub in London I want to go back to and get piss drunk once again with friends

Life's challenges provide lessons if we are willing to learn

I tend to take things too seriously

The world is a smaller place then I had thought, but still bigger than I want it to be

I tend to write like some people babble

That's some of what I know.......

Today I figured out that a smell can bring back a flood of memories for me.

A smile. A card and a little gift. I never realized that those little things could mean so very much.

A flood of emotions and feelings. A simple vision. A simple special memory.

All my adult life I've told myself that I don't have any regrets. That the things in life I might regret are lessons to be learned from. I was wrong. I have but one simple regret.....

I should have turned around........

Oh Woog, why am I so intrigued? I wonder if I am thinking along the right lines. I almost can feel your pain and yet you really don't speak of it.
I so want a happy ending for you, a Deb and Bill type ending.
I am holding you in my prayers.

Hey Woog,

You and Gypsy should write a book together, or at the very least a collection of short stories. Very poetic stuff.

Those are some heartfelt emotions my friend. If these emotions continue to linger, why not act on them?

It's never too late to turn around......

Woog... Venus moved into Pisces yesteday.. ramping up our romantic longings for the next month. I've certainly been feeling it, just so you know. Its also a good time to buy a lottery ticket. Poor subsitute, but you never know...
