Absolutely - it is extremely uncomfortable, part of the reason DR says "Don't say I love you".

There needs to be trust, then respect (or vice versa), followed by friendship, followed by whatever, THEN romance.

You can't walk up to a girl on the street and say, "Hey would you come and cook my meals, have sex with me twice a week, and bear my children?"
