It is a LS, but with a formal separation agreement it outlines everything. It establishes how much he has agreed to pay me, for how long, the house, the kids, etc... If/when a D happens, then all I have to do is file that paperwork as the agreement is in place. Considering what is looming ahead for him, it made sense to cover my A$$ while I still could. Not a huge thing, but big enough for me to sit back and watch the inevitable...
