I hate when they don't call!!!! Grrrrr!

Happy New Year. Your night sounds like fun to me, not boring at all. I am glad you made it a nice night for your kiddos. Its ok to feel a little emotional while the new year rolls in, we are looking forward, but can't help but peek behind us at times.

Cheers!

H4H glad you and the girlies had a good New Years Eve. Good that you called W on her NOT calling the girls. 2008 was a hell of a year. 2009 is full of possibilities, we will just have to wait and see what it holds.

Keep taking care of yourself and being a great dad. Your W is just going to have to figure it out on her own and with you backing away, she will. Keep it up. I know its hard (you know I do) but you are doing a great job at making her face her life.

I had thought that 2007 sucked. We had started our crap, then tried again towards the end of the year.

2008 started of good, then just went downhill from there. The absolute worst year. But like I told her in my email, which she still hasn't been able to read, I've learned so much about myself. About who I am. Inside.

2009 can only be better. At least, for me personally.

So, here's to 2009.

I feel the same way H4H. The last year has sucked. Its been painful and humbling and caused so much pain for so many, but I have also learned SO much about myself and who I am and who I want/need to be. It has also allowed me to meet some of the finest people God ever created.

2009 WILL be better.

BTW...I LOVED Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc...

I also loved all of Eddie Vedder's songs on the "Into the Wild" soundtrack. If you haven't seen it or heard the music, do it. I'm a rocker chick at heart. The first albumn (I'm old) I ever got was KISS Destroyer on my 8th birthday. I love them still. Sorry to say RUSH isn't a band I ever really got into, but I LOVE Bad Company, so I may have a few redeeming qualities.

Great taste, except for the RUSH quote, but we won't hold it against you!

I haven't heard anyone mention Jane's Addiction. I really liked their music along with AIC, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam.

One last one, what's everyone think of Jethro Tull? Totally different sound from anything that was going on at the time. Tull and RUSH are my two favorites, mostly because their music is so different...

Sorry for the TJ H4H. You're right, 2009 may not bring in what we all want, but it'll surely be better than 2008, and maybe even what we need.....hey, there's a song there somewhere isn't there?

That Jethro Tull guy . . . he rocks. ;\) Not as good as Leonard Skynyrd, but they're both great.

Feel Like Makin' Love
by Paul Rodgers and Bad Company

Baby, when I think about you
I think about love
Darlin, dont live without you
And your love
If I had those golden dreams
Of my yesterdays
I would wrap you in the heaven
till Im dyin on the way

Feel like makin
Feel like makin love
Feel like makin love to you

Baby, if I think about you
I think about love
Darlin if I live without you
I live without love
If I had the sun and moon
I would give you both night and day
Of satisfyn

Feel like makin
Feel like makinlove
Feel like makin love to you

And if I had those golden dreams
Of my yesterdays
I would wrap you in the heaven
til Im dyin on the way

Feel like makin love
Feel like makin love
(repeat many times)
Feel like makin love to you

Jethro Tull? Nope. Just didn't feel it. I remember when the Grammys(I think) first included 'hard' rock band awards and Jethro Tull won. I was just as dumbfounded as anyone else.

Except for maybe you, H4U. \:\)

Janes Addiction? Hell yes. Perry Farrel and Dave Navarro.

If your going there, then The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Stone Temple Pilots, and Rage Against the Machine.

All groups that I still currently still listen to and have on my MP3.

I even got into the other bands like The Cure, New Order, REM, The Smiths...well for me Morissey. 'How Soon is Now' ranks right up there as one of my all time favorite singles.

Devo and a band the no one has EVER heard of, Trio and Error.

And for those in my age group, who didn't dance to the B-52's 'Rock Lobster' at the High School dances and get into it?

Admit it. Ya'll know ya'll did. \:\)

Being a GA boy, I absolutely loved R.E.M. and the B-52s.
