Well 2008 is officially over. THANK GOD for small favors. 2009 has got to be better. Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it.

As painful as the last year has been for me, it has also taught me a lot about myself and I suppose for that I will be grateful.

Christmas and New Years were relatively uneventful and that is a good thing. I look forward to getting back to work on Monday. I have been home for almost 3 weeks and I'm getting cabin fever. I have enjoyed my time with my kids and I haven't been up before 11 in the last week, but its time for REAL LIFE to begin again.

Strange thing though. I filed my settlement agreement just befor Thanksgiving and about 2 weeks later got it back because it wasn't stapled properly (NO, I am not KIDDING!) so I finally resubmitted it on Friday, December 19th. The sweet (BEEEEOOOTCH) woman who took my paperwork told me it would be about 4-6 weeks as there were at least 30 cases ahead of mine. I knew this from the first time I filed it, so no big deal right? I got a phone call from the County on the 23rd, but it only rang 2 times and then quit. For some reason I decided to check the webiste and I had already gotten a judgement. The judge signed it on the 26th...its a done deal. Already. Kinda spooky as the Troll is making noises about wanting to move out.
