No, we did not have anything done to the car as we cannot afford it and we cannot afford a car payment either. We will have to drive this one until it dies on us.
I told him happy new year and that i hope the new year will be better for all of us and he said he hopes so too.
He also said that he probably will write to his father but not ask him for anything but for thanking him for the Christmas gift he sent to both of us. I said that this was good and was a baby step in the proper direction of reconnecting with him. I said that I also think his dad made a baby step and reconnected because the gift his dad gave us had both our names on it.
Tomorrow he will be coming over to join us for New Years Day--very simple--sandwiches.
