M, Your h reminds me so much of JeanS' husband in the way he is going about things. Her h brought things back piece by piece and the clothes were the last things that arrived home. Your h is spending quite a bit of time at your home as well. Slowly, slowly he is inching his way back.
About the letter to his father, I think it is something he needs to do...it's not only for financial support, but the reconnection as well. You see, he's never left you and your family totally, but he did disconnect from his father, now reconnection must take place.
I do hope you hear about your car, but I don't think it will be ready today due to the "holiday" events of this evening.

my car the auto place it was towed to yesterday said the car started right up. the guy said he did it about thirty times and it was fine. h told him to check a few more things on it before we pick it up.
Is this God working, I do not know but for the last 4 days, h has been spending the day at our house, all day from ten in the morning until about five at night.

oh my gosh--definitely not the starter but here is what is wrong with my car:
tune up needed, brake booster is defective, valve covers leaking, coolant needs to be flushed, power steering pump leaking, rear shocks blown out, brake pads almost all worn out
a couple thousand................
h does not know this yet but when he finds out he will have a fit.
i am glad i have to work today.

H said the repairs would total $4000 and he will not get it fixed. He said the only thing he will do is the spark plugs which will cost $400. According to S18, H is going to do this but I said I am not so sure as this car it is a pain and very difficult to get to.
The thing is: you never know if the car will work properly from one day to the next so I am not going to drive it unless necessary.
