Hey Hope, I think the letter is a great release for you. You can now move on to a great 2009 with no regrets and nothing holding you back. It will be a wonderful year for you and you will be able to take back the control in your life.
It is terrible about your friend, but I am glad that they are doing the funeral today, so it won't be something that will be starting 2009 with more sadness.
