Mike, doc says we are attracted to someone who is able to push our buttons, so we can heal.

if you mean push our buttons in a bad way then I'll say I've not done that..I'm looking for the "good way"..the bad way seems to keep finding me..hence my "outburst"

morning all!

Don't feel like working today...so what else is new....everybody seems to be off but me...

Gyps...don't worry i will not fall head over heals for the first person I meet...thanks for your concern though...so where did you say that buffet line is??? (by the way, I am not a big fan of buffets in the real sense).

Mike...i sensed from day 1 that IL40 had a little crazy in her but i wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt....the doubt is gone.....and so is she (hope that does not come off as macho because it is not).

Woog...how are things...I'll go take a peek at your sitch.

Hey John..

Instead of buffet line.. how about 'individual stations'? That sounds more upscale and personalized. The club for holidays would have individual stations.. a fresh pasta station, carving station (prime rib, etc.), asian.. etc etc... Maybe that makes it more palatable.

The big question is how to meet someone who's interesting without going through a cattle call?

Hmmmmmmmmmm

Hi John -

Here is the equivalent of a dating buffet in your town...

Did you know that Club Med has vacations for singles?

LOLZ. Interesting question.

Hey John, glad to see things are progressing in a positive direction for you. I like Gypsy's notion of individual stations.

I'll tell you what in my opinion should be your biggest worry. That is that you will meet someone truly exceptional in the next few months. I've found myself in that place, yet, I also made a vow to myself that I wouldn't get into any kind of exclusive LTR for the next 2 years. So, I wish you a steady diet of not quite what you're looking for for a while.

Dan

LOL, M, it could just be that my standards for exceptional are pretty low, but, ....

Someone asked me a few months back to describe my ideal woman. I said that of course she needed to be attractive, but, I wanted to meet a non-smoker with high self-esteem, a college graduate who isn't an alcoholic or who uses illicit drugs, who isn't on anti-depressants, is in shape because she works out, not because she starves herself. This really isn't that high of a bar to meet.

So, my new girl is a 5'10" 145lb part time yoga instructor with 2 undergrad degrees and working on her MBA. She's a gourmet cook and wine aficionado who is also an expert skier and loves motorcycling, dancing, and the great outdoors. On top of all that, she thinks I'm the bomb.

Perhaps that doesn't rise to the level of truly exceptional for everyone, but, for me right now it does present something of a quandary.
