The wife and I have always monitored what the kids watched. When S14 was approaching his teens, his dad was taking him to all kinds of movies(and still does)that the wife and I considered inappropriate for a kid his age.
He basically told us the same thing.
"When he's with me..." blah, blah.
They're just stupid people and are trying to be looked upon as the 'cool' parent because that's all they got.
They don't have the real parenting skills. Just like the wife. She's always had a problem being the one to say no, it was always me. Like last Sunday, she told me how S14 had asked her Sunday night about going to the mall with a friend the next day. She says she ignored him and didn't answer. I asked her why she just wasn't able to say, "No"? She couldn't answer. "I don't know what I was thinking" was her response finally.
Stupid.
