Gettin' closer to 140 if how my jeans felt when I squeezed them on today is any indication!!

Is it being too hot out (and in...no AC in Canada!!!) a good excuse for bbing instead of working out??? (Now I already KNOW the answer to that!!)

Gosh, thanks for the reminder, guys, I haven't CALLED our MC yet....must write it into my daily minder RIGHT NOW.....

Done!...will call tomorrow. And YES CJ does know and concurs. I brought it up about a week ago, just lightly, saying it might be good for us and plus it will keep our file "alive" should we run into snags. Personally, I think a monthly or so "tune up" might be a good thing.

I still think she "cut us free" to soon.

Plus CJ had an assessment by a Psychiatrist (we're so short on them, a few fly in from more populated centres to make diagnoses) to get him into a depression support group yesterday and he mentioned sending the results to our MC as we would be having an appointment with her soon.

So, yes, he's on board!!! PLUS...he said that he told the shrink that his depression was quite low right now, he's interested and motivated by his course AND things are going well with US!!!

He volunteered this info, folks, but I WAS eager to hear it!

Today's class went well...we decided to postpone the test 'til Friday so we don't have to rush through the last two chapters....means an extra day for me, but that's okay.

Well dinner tonight will be linguini with a splash of light olive oil, freshly grated parmesan, REAL greek feta (none of those pretend fetas you can get!), fresh garden herbs and roasted red peppers.

And I wonder WHY I'm porking out???

Actually, this is a pretty healthy meal...I just tend to go overboard on pasta portions.

Gee, wish I were "Gettin' closer to 140"!

So how hot is hot? You keep saying it is hot and I have no idea what weather in Canada is like, other than I guess COLD in the winter!!!!!

If you have a good MC I think that is a good idea. David and I saw one off and on the whole darn time we were married. Don't think it helped a darn bit! Actually I was seeing her to help deal with the D and then I had a flip out session and David decided I was losing it and wanted to come in with me to make sure I told her about the whole deal!

Why was she not able to identify our pattern of interaction?

Rats Shiny! Forgot whose thread I was on. Sorry about that!!! Hey I seem real forgetful now is THAT a side effect? Because if it is it bites!

I bet you were "EAGER" to hear that sort of info! That is awesome!!!

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE WINE????????????????????

Ha! I think we cross-posted!!

Now what wine are we talking about? The half-glass of blush I'm working on right now? The White that is chilling for dinner? Or the wine you're going to have on your birthday?????

And about the 140? Remember how short I am

And, um, yep...ah...what? Oh Yeah! Forgetfulness IS another side effect...I, uh, forgot!

Pasta's ready! Gotta run...Later 'yall!

Shiny

P.S. Pam, feel free to rant, journal, do any 'ol thing on my thread...wait..I just opened myself up to an unsupervised party, haven't I?

MAL??? help???

Well, Jeannine and I want to know what you were drinking last night that you MISSED everything that you were a part of last night!

I was wondering what wine you were having with your dinner?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about my birthday. That is probably going to be rough if David doesn't come to see me and he hasn't mentioned a thing about it yet.

I know, I know! You are still way ahead of me, but I'm working on it! Not getting all the nice variety to eat that you are though. Also not spending time in the kitchen. Although I SHOULD be doing something tonight I think I am giving myself the night off.

You didn't say how HOT is it?????

I thought we started your new thread with a party, didn't we?????????

Isn't that a nice way to break a new thread in, with a party?

Rats "forgot" to ask, does the forgetfulness get better? I don't like it.

Ok, playing on your thread as mine is almost full!

Don't know why I was thinking of this again tonight. At least my mood is a little better. Shoot maybe I "forgot" I was in a down mood! Actually I worked on my first post to a new thread and thought of him with her again and don't miss him nearly as bad if that B*tch is what he really wants!

So something I used to do when worked in an office by myself all day and my only outside contact was phone calls. Some people became regulars, was to try to come up with mental picture of them.

You I just knew were a burnette, petitite

Tal - I had tall and dark haired, just didn't have the Cher part!

Sage - I am just not getting a clear mental picture on, Blond maybe, but she is too logical for that!

Jeannine - I have as short to medium height with brown hair

Shay - medium height, slender, burnette I think.

Kitti - I wonder if a red head is a possibility there

So ok I am doing NOTHING PRODUCTIVE TONIGHT!

Did I NOT invite you to do just that?????

Hello Pam...hope you're still around, although with a 5:30 wake time, you'd NEED to be going nighty night by now!

Okay, so yesterday it was a glass of red wine, a merlot? But it WAS 15% (I never look at the % but it's a running joke with us as my Sis and BIL basically shop for the "best bang for the buck" ).

That's hardly enough for me to miss a whole line of chat, but who knows. Actually Pam, I thought MY forgetfulness was due to the Xanax, not the Celexa...but as I started both at the same time I could be wrong.

I'd like to say it gets better but...I can't really tell!

If you mean you sometimes forget who's thread you're reading or why you entered a room for the second time...weeeelll...it is a little disconcerting. I think, personally, that stress itself can cause such symptoms too.

So as to your take on what us gals look like....very interesting.

As for Tal...I had the tall, exotic, slender, bit...she thinks Cher is an insult...but Cher was my body image idol growing up!!

SOOOOO... being 5'2" by age 12....132 pounds, C-cup bra (well maybe it was JUST a B at 12)...Always had long dark brown hair, red highlights. When 1/3 of my hair fell out after my first round of illness/surgery (mid 20's) I got my first perm ever ...next time I just cut it all off!!! Sassy and short.... It grew back black and wavy .

Intermediate years??? Intermeditate lengths.

But for some reason since my 40th, I'm growing it out again. Now long face framing strands, about mid/-way to my bra in back. Use a flattening iron to smooth it out, dark red highlights on a dark brown field..a few strands of lighter amber (SIL does hair!!! ).

As for petite...well in height for sure. Medium frame, pretty evenly proportioned, good upper body definition (NO not THEM! ) from free weights. From 1996 to...oh 4 months ago...I weighed between 120 and 125 ...

Worked out regularly the whole time. A Bit more sporadic now .

Let's see...since getting dishwasher 3 years ago (WHAT was I thinking before that??? ) ...I've grown my fingernails long. Nice hands actually, hope the family arthritis legacy passes me by. Usually they are french manicured (by ME of course!)...In the "high anxiety" days of the late 1990's I "clicked" my fingernails as a nervous habit...wore huge grooves into them...don't know HOW I managed to stop that! :
..Oh yeah...meditation and mindfulness

Dark brown eyes, quite large and deep set...alas hidden behind glasses, which although stylish, shrink my eyes some. Black lashes, well arched eyebrows (total bushes, but NOT a unibrow, if I don't pluck).

Teeth, which were the bane of my youth (well that and my weight which vascillated between 115 and 155 regularly )
overlap slightly...sort of the one-fanged version of the original Cher...alas they were also quite dull from childhood antibiotics....BUT!!! I've found that Colgate's Simply White Overnight has whitened my uppers considerably.!

Now how weird is this? I don't trust products that promise the moon...so I just applied the stuff to my upper front teeth, so as to REALLY tell if it was working (bottoms as comparison)...well it DOES...only I just keep doing the uppers ...they're all you see when I smile!

One of the most heartwarming comments I've ever overheard: "SHe has a great smile"...from two of my students in the hallway.

Okay...were we talking about rambling and forgetfulness???

JK!!!

Shiny

P.S. Geez!!!! I almost forgot!!! Hot here can get into the upper 30's, even low 40's Celcius...so that would be high 80's to mid 90's??? (We changed from Farenheight when I was in high school so I still have vestigial memory! )

Thing is...it's also been very humid...in the 90% range, which CAN push the temp up over 100 ...I'm just a wuss, my perfect day is about 75 degrees, slight breeze. Most Canadians SOAK this stuff up.

Makes up for the -40 degree winters (strangely, when it gets to the minus degrees C and F are almost even)

Okay...I win the self-absorption prize of the day!!!

Hey! How about we ALL post a bit of the real stuff?

Here are my guesses:

Sage always appears as a brunette to me...not tall, I could be waaaay off

Jeannine I also see as a waifish light brunnette...pale complexion...perhaps a scattering of freckles? Green Eyes?

LL...NO idea why, but to me you're blonde. Medium long straightish hair, blue/green eyes, full figured, but fit, taller...maybe 5'7"?

Pam...Do I recall you saying you're 5'4"? I know you're blonde, but that's about it. (I actually pictured you brunette!)

Fran I feel might be a redhead, Shay? She's tall...don't ask me why.

Isn't it interesting how we build implicit/unconscious images of our bb pals?

So, who's brave enough to describe themselves????

Yup! 5'2", 120lbs, brown wavy hair (chin length), brown eyes. I'm "petite" but curvy (well, more on the bottom than the top!).

At one point, Jeannine had a pic in her profile...not sure if it's still there?

Height - 5'4"

Weight - well.... ...... but gaining .
Normally, I'm a slender person, just not this slender....

I have dark brown hair with red highlights.

Petite features with medium large, hazel eyes.
Sometimes they look quite green, so you are close to the mark on that.

Not much in the way of freckles though.

Hope that helps.

If not, I have a picture posted on my homepage here. Been there for months.
