I was seriously thinking about posting a skank sign outside on Sunday, but don't want to scare the kids. D9 would be like what's a skank, etc. I'm torn b/w confronting skank if she has the nerve to show up again on Sunday, or just letting it go. I'm seriously considering moving at this point, so that may just solve a lot of my problems really. I was talking to my brother yesterday and was explaining you have to get court permission to move with the kids. But he had a good point. I'm $700 short a month right now (basically rent), and they shouldn't be able to force me to become homeless or whatever. I haven't been able to get a job here, but might be able to in some other location, like say the Seattle area where he lives and some of my other relatives also. I do think that sounds common-sense to me, with the bonus of not having to deal with skank and nasty H. He could still have the kids just as often although probably over the summer and holidays. I just don't know what that he would know what to do with them over such a long period of time!! Does he get to pay your L's fees? At this rate they are going to cost a pretty penny. Ours were $8000.00 total but part of that was because ex was an idiot and went to a L that asked for a $5000.00 retainer and believed he was going to get most of that back!!

Both lawyers have gotten about $8000 so far. When my L saw that H had paid $4000 to his L, she asked for an extra $1500 from H over the $2500 retainer my brother lent me. Although he's not holding his breath waiting for H to pay him. He said he figured he would treat him like he treated his sister, i.e. dirt.
H was an absent dad before this year and I think he's been motivated to see the kids, and has upped the time seeing them the closer we get to D. I think it'll work out that after the D when there's no financial motivation, he'll become more of an absent dad again. I would agree to him seeing them as much as he wanted summer & holidays, but I don't think he would take advantage of that. He'd probably take them for 2 weeks or something in the summer and maybe Christmas or Thanksgiving for a week. The kids are old enough that if he couldn't handle it, they could tell me, and I also wonder when they get a bit older if they will want to visit him that much anyway. When they realize the kind of person he is. Although they seem to realize that now, but still love him. Karen
Just got back! I had to eat!!! And yeah, I broke down and ate some chocolate cake! The kids would probably want fresh cake anyway when they get back, right???
You are such a chocoholic!! But really that isn't a bad thing. I watched the legacy in the extras. It was a 1939 movie. Kinda neat. All the women were really catty though. Joan Crawford played the skank in the original.
