I'm so freezing cold. I worked until about 2:00 a.m. Then got called back into work this PM for a weird smell in the building. Turned out it was a simple fix. People see me here at an uncharacteristic time, so they grab me to fix a problem that has been lingering for weeks. I don't get human nature. Anyway, going to go get a haircut and maybe finish Christmas shopping.

Thanks Amy. We would always spend Christmas Eve at a family and friends get together, but the host family moved away this summer. Sad story there, their youngest child has cancer that was discovered after they moved away. So they are not having a good Christmas either. We are just going to lay low at home. I guess I will be grateful for healthy kids.

I am working tomorrow and again Friday. I asked my boss if he cared if I came in on Christmas and worked. He just laughed. It is supposed to be warmer on Christmas day and I need to trim up some trees, so I can take out my anger with the chainsaw on the low hanging branches that bother me on the riding mower.

It will be me and the boys. They are really a lot of fun. Seems crazy that someone who loves them would rather spend Christmas somewhere other than with them. Oh well...his loss!

Just think, by this time next year, we will be in either 1 of 2 spots (I figured this out last night), either we will a) Be a year later into this, be used to it, and the holiday will definitely not suck as badly because we will have a whole new life or b) Our marriages will turn around and the holiday will definitely not suck as badly because we have a whole new life
