Cat - basically he wants 50/50 all year round. I think that is ludicrous but especially during the school year when he is living 3 districts away. Like you, I am appalled by the fact that stbx is exposing children to overnights with ow. I think it is so morally wrong but the courts really don't care about that any longer. Sooo... I'm fighting for a different school year schedule. That's about it in a nutshell.

I can tell you that it's a very costly and ugly process.

In the meantime, I think there may be trouble in paradise or at least some question as to whether this r w/ow is really going to be long-term.. hmmmm...

wow, 50/50 and he's not nearby? yikes, he is stupid. I might head down to court anyways, so I guess I'll have to have my home equity line card ready.
Prayers your way, I hope the judge grants your request hon.

Awww, so sad! Why do you think there's trouble??? Sounds like you are the rational one--they drop major iq points when there's an OP!!! Karen

Hi OC - good to hear from. I think nothing to report can sometimes be a good thing!

cat - yes, he is being stupid. And, my child is well worth the $$$ I am spending!

Karen - I think there is trouble because he is hot/cold about it again. There are some things that he is doing that indicate he is totally into ow and some things that seem a bit wishy washy. Who know?? If not her then someone else I guess!

Other than that, still fighting the same old battle. Isn't it ironic how things change... I used to not want stbx to leave and now I can't wait for him to be gone!! I feel the tension start to leave my body every Friday morning just knowing that I will get some peace for a couple of days.

LO, it seems just like yesterday that our marriages/divorces were on the same time line. So sorry that everything has gone downhill. Our dragged out for 8 months because ex thought he didn't have to figure out anything, in the end didn't really take anything including a bunch of his clothes! Now he has filed bankruptcy and I am soon to follow after(sadly).

I hope your H wakes up enough to see what a mess this all really is and that it isn't worth it. I hope your holidays are wonderful and hold your little angel extra tight.

kat

Hey there everyone..
Having a rough time this Christmas. Even though stbxh filed last year, we kept it from everyone until after the holidays were over and spent a "normal" Christmas one last time last year. Sooo.. this year is really the first without those family traditions. The best thing is that I get to wake up with D5 on Christmas morning. She cannot wait for Santa to come!!

ow ho is taking my place at all of h's family functions this year. I actually have to see her skankiness when they drop off D5 tonight. YUCK! All of it is absolutely surreal to think about. Life goes on I guess..

Other than that, I haven't been reporting anything because there is not much to report. Custody evaluations are done and things are moving along slowly. It looks like everything - good or bad - should finally come to an end next month.

All in all, I really do have a lot to be thankful for. I have so many good things and good people in my life. I have my health and a good job. A roof over my head and enough (ok, more than enough!) food to eat. It's hard not to dwell on the hurt this time of year..Things aren't fair and life wasn't supposed to turn out this way; but, it did. I just have to believe that it WILL get better!!!!
