Most other people I would not take too well hearing them give me a "I'm sorry". But you Crissy are special to me, so it is appreciated to hear it from you. Generally I just think that is a fallback expression that people commonly use when they can't think of anything else to say. A space filler, and an often times hollow one at that. Hence my pet peave ..so to speak. From a believer's tongue ..it is majorly different than that.
I hope you are happy and are communing well with the Lord as we rapidly approach this special time of year. The baby Jesus brought to us ..AAaaaahhh!
And as for me, I just got a much needed infusion of goodness from a wonderful remark that our Sis, Laura made on hers. Simple enough but I had been at times overlooking and failing on (especially lately). And that is to push yourself to not see your prodigal through the earthly eyes that others do but rather to approximate the way that the Lord sees your H or W. Oh how salient that is. I can't thank L enough. SHe is great.
The body of Christ giving and sharing with the love expressly learned from Him. That's where it's at!
I really liked what SMW said about seeing them through God's eyes and now that you added the prodigal part, that helps...
The father did not help his prodigal son while he was off wasting his time and money. But when the prodigal came home, the father ran to him.........gotta remember that. Let them go and learn what they must learn on their own...

hey, just remember T, that just because something is a pet peeve of yours, doesn't mean it is not meaningfully said by someone else. I was very excited to hear my H say "I'm sorry" after our sitch. It was something he never said to me. It was always me saying it to him.
I think we've had this convo b4, but why do you think you feel that way? Have you been hurt a lot before and have felt that the people hurting you really didn't mean sorry? Just curious. We can always assume if people are sincere or not, but we can never know for sure. Only God knows the hearts of others.

busy day with not much sleep but I completed the car transfer to my buddy who was in need of wheels. He is a member of the group of Christian "standers" that i got turned on to from FaithfulH on here. He hasn't seen or heard from his W (legally xW) in about 5 years I think.
I was sorry to ahnd off my "baby" even if only temporarily. I have had that car for as long as I have been w/ my darling. '95 VW Jetta. I have amassed 237,000 miles on 'er (well I was responsible for about 160k of those) but still that is a lot of motoring. For now she is still runnin strong as I have maintained it real well.
And then my buddy helped me finally fasten down the anchor bolts for my truck cap so that the fairly new and shiny cap doesn't go sliding off into the roadway. I tried to do it but got to frustrated the other day, so it was nice having his help. Just another example of the body of Christ at work. Even if in small means.
Time to head to the airplane. Finally a fairly clear night. Which means I will be able to peer down on DD15 from the night sky and wave and smile. A tear usually comes upon me to. She is just a phenomenal kid and I love her. *smile*
Today will be a day of much sleep. I am determined to make it so. Got a bunch done yesterday that needed to be so today I will pray, rest & pray some more.
I am sure "Rue" likes it when I am well rested cuz I am more apt to take her for a long walk and for her to get a bunch of treats to munch on. (It is a wonder she does not weigh a whole lot more than she does ...she is a big "foodie"). Seldom do I fall for her antics and only if she eats her own food first which sometimes she is stubborn about doing.
