MWG, GG,

Here's a link to Five Love Language's author Gary Chapman's "Growing Marriage" conference. He's having one in AZ in Aug 1009 - Gary Chapman's "A Growing Marriage" Conference.

PH I hope you are doing good. I am sorry that we haven't connected yet. Please understand I am swamped with my work right now. Required to work extra and then on top of the holidays managing the kids.

Now with kids out of school this week due to weather I am scrambling for childcare and am just exhausted.

I am off of work after Thur for a week, so will be able to talk then.

GG, I am doing good - thanks. I understand about being swamped by work. Because I am too - not been getting enough sleep.... from working and going to bed late. I was up until 1am Monday morning working!!!

I am off work too after Fri (for 2 weeks). I look forward to chatting! I do ope you are able to get the childcare you need. I don't know how you manage - the job and the kids! I think you are super-woman, like MWG and other Moms here.

Ah thanks for those kind words PH. My h is a real perfectionist and he expects me to be at that level like he is and I feel like such a failure at times.

For example, he is always saying Glam clean as you go when I am baking and cooking. Then he says Glam you need to clean off your desk. Well I want to be neater, but life itself gets in the way. When I come home from work cleaning my desk is the last thing I want to do.

H doesn't have to get the kids up everyday from school, pack their lunches, make sure their clothes are set out the night before, take them to school, pick them up, grocery shop, holiday shop, the list is endless and all of this on top of a full time job that is exhausting at the moment.

I am so looking forward to Friday when I will be off for one week. I can clean, bake, and put the finishing touches on holiday.

Hi PH!

I'm so glad find that you are posting again! I've been wondering how you are doing.

I hope all is well! I do understand about the dog & the pine cones! My girls don't now but my oldest, when she was a puppy she loved pine cones!

Just know that I'm thinking about you!!

GG, Perhaps he's a perfectionist because he realizes he's NOT perfect and it makes him feel better to criticise others.

You are not a failure at all. Like you said, you have SO much on your plate. Remember that not too long ago, he thanked you for holding the family together and that he's so grateful for that?

He still needs plenty of healing. Remember that he's still in his crisis. It takes time to get out of it. I still that you have made great strides, despite the recent letdown about not showing up on Christmas Day.

Hi nlt,
Thanks so much for dropping by. I read that you are at your family's place. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with them.

All is well here. It's funny that your dog also loved pine cones. Mine isn't a spring chicken but she still loves them. She must think they are a treat or something!

Hugs back to you.
