You coast dwellers dont ever get much snow or freezes. That was one of my main reasons for moving my sail boat to the coast - so that I did not have to winterize it.
I have not been there since I was a kids, but I understand that Brookings, down by the border, has very nice weather in comparison to the rest of the coast because of the "Brookings (aka Chetco) effect".
