YR, How are your parents doing? Is someone with them that could do the decorating for them this year? Will you and your family be able to travel and spend some time w/them over the holidays?

Thank you for asking! My parents are doing well. I talked to my mother yesterday and she sounds really good. My father is getting around but also taking it easy, as he should. Matter of fact, yesterday my sister, brother and all of my nephews were over to decorate the house and the tree for them and cook for them also. It's really nice having a chef in the family, my nephew. They are all pitching in and helping where needed.
Unfortunately, we can't go home for Christmas because H can't get off work. They are really short handed. My parents are planning to come for a visit next summer so that tells me that they are both feeling better. Thank goodness it is only an hour flight!!!
My ex has seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I might get a call from him once a month now. The anger is gone. When he talks to me it is always about how broke he is, how bad things are, etc..... Any insight into why they do this? When did your H show signs of remorse?

My H started showing remorse towards the end of his MLC. My H also fell of the face of earth during his depression and withdrawl stages. That was also the end of it. I really think they dig deep within themselves towards the end and are struggling with everything they did. Hang in there.
