I don't know about you Jeff, but nothing gets me going like LL Bean water bottles, except those interchangable-tipped screwdrivers or (gasp!) a new laser level.

Gosh, I can't believe W came in and saw all your Rockettes on FB. But think about your motives and jealousy over her friends??!!! I can't even imagine what's going on in her mind. This kind of struck me from your post on my thread.....(oh, and I'm SO EXCITED you appreciated my Lizzie reference!)

I think that repeated watching of a film/program means something to the viewer, and wonder if W may have a hankering for romance, or days gone by when there were formal courtship rules and men were Darcy/Bingley-ish in their approach (no-one wants a Wickham!).

"Darcy is stunned, and shocked into a new reality of how his behaviour is perceived by others, particularly Elizabeth. Now he reconsiders all, and then commits to go out of his way to demonstrate his respect and devotion for her."

I just wonder- that behaviour is really interesting to me, and as you know, all girls dream of a big romance.

That's an interesting thought.....

I don't think that's it, but who knows? She watches it because she has seen it enough that it doesn't keep her awake, if that makes sense. There's no worry about what is going to happen, since she knows. So it provides the calm background for her to go to sleep.

I think I would be closer to a Bingley than a Darcy. A bit less serious that Darcy! Maybe W is Darcy, once she has a low opinion of you, it sticks! \:\)

That's an interesting response- very manly! I'd say that from a practical point of view, yes, there may be an element of W knowing what's going to happen and it sending her to sleep. BUT, knowing the mind of a woman, there must have been a reason why she started watching the movie/series in the first place, and there's a root of wanting romance in that. JMHO....

Bingley- there's a man yu could live with! Hope you're having a lovely day!

That's really the only one I know well! I've seen Emma and Sense and Sensibility a few times, but we have them on VHS, and haven't used them for years! So, I have to get the most out of my P&P education!

I haven't noticed a change at all. I guess it's hard to get any colder than the north pole! \:\)

I had a pretty good day. I went golfing this morning, it was pretty windy, but not cold. It is supposed to be a lot cooler tomorrow, and maybe even rain. I was dreadful most of the time, and hit some nice shots on the last few holes, so I will have to try again, someday!

This afternoon the younger two boys and I went to the store and bought some lights for decorating outside, W said that they wanted to do that. I think she is going to help them with that tomorrow, since she worked today. She likes to spend he off weekend days doing stuff with them. Then we went to a Christmas tree lot, and the two of them almost immediately agreed on the same tree! Not one to argue with almost immediate success (it wasn't even the most expensive one there), I quickly bought it! We had it tied to the top of the car, and made it home, though it had migrated quite a distance! S19 and his friend (who is over her all the time) got it into it's stand, and water. I think we will get it situated and decorated tomorrow.

Now I am kinda tired, and have a headache. W and the little guys are watching the "Speed Racer" movie, not a good choice with a headache. Don't know where the headache came from, I might be getting a little bit of a cold. I hope not! \:\)

Lights didn't get up yesterday. By now, who knows?

Had a meeting at work all day today, and again tomorrow! I'm going home! \:\)
