Well we are in a winterwonderland in OR. Very unusual for the state. We have snow and ice, no school for the kids today.
I went to work on Sunday and then was expecting h around 11am to watch the kids. He calls on his way and says do you want me to pick you up and take you to lunch.
Now by this time, it was already snowing and the roads were slick. I was a little afraid to drive, so this was perfect. H drives up and takes me to lunch. It was kind of funny, I had mentioned to a co-worker that my h was picking me up with the weather and she said oh how romantic. I guess it was a nice gesture on h's part, since another woman's h declined to drive her to work when she asked.
With the crazy weather we had a hard time finding any place that was open to eat. After work we had an appoinment to get pics of the kids for holiday. We had so much fun. Love this place called Picture Innovations. They do a great job and fairly reasonable.
After the pics we wanted to grab dinner since it was such a different night with the snow and the kids were all dressed up in holiday clothes. We had to settle for IHOP since all the restaurants were closed due to the weather.
Then we drove around our neighborhood playing Christmas music and looking at the lights. Now not many were on the streets since the warnings were to stay home, but h has AWD and hey were are a bit adventurous as long as we are not putting our kids in danger.
H was testing something on the car and we started to swerve all over the road, I just screamed out h. He was so funny! He said for a moment Glam I thought we were making love. Oh my gosh, I was on the floor laughing.
He dropped us off and left and said he would be over on Monday to relieve me from kid duty so I can go into work late. He was so sweet though. He said I will drive you. I don't want you having to drive on the ice.
I just have to keep my eye on the prize at the end of this journey. What was that prize again?
