I don't think that's it, but who knows? She watches it because she has seen it enough that it doesn't keep her awake, if that makes sense. There's no worry about what is going to happen, since she knows. So it provides the calm background for her to go to sleep.
I think I would be closer to a Bingley than a Darcy. A bit less serious that Darcy! Maybe W is Darcy, once she has a low opinion of you, it sticks!
