This damn trip - it is cancelled but travel arrangements not toasted - travel agent has them on hold. The christmas excursion.
The k's are still hoping I have a change of heart. W is pressuring me to reconsider to not break k's hearts. Don't really care what W thinks right now, but it would be good for k's. And if we did D, she gets 50% of debt.
Maybe it is a case of taking W up on her offer to take k's for 2 weeks w/o W. More time to show just me and k's.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

No one ever has, or ever will, escape the consequences of their actions.
I think it depends if you can afford it, or if it's going to be adding debt to the family. Now is NOT a good time to be adding debt in this economy, needless to say.
If you can afford it, and you can take the kids without her, then I think you should go (although I would have preferred that you hadn't said "no" to begin with). If you CAN'T afford it, then you should cancel it and do something less expensive with the kids -- just you and them.
Guess in thinking about it, I did leave the door open with the k's - couched it with "likely not" going to happen. Financially, we can make it work if needed - and maybe at this time in everyone's life.
Can't believe W would give up christmas time with the k's.
