Good gracious..my 5th thread in 2 months..guess that means I'm a yappy gal!
Carpenter was sharing some things he's learned in the 6 months since his bomb-iversary yesterday (how do you like that word, just made it up? and I thought I may do the same
1) I've learned that this bomb has turned me into a crazy mad cleaning woman (which is HILARIOUS if you knew me before). Not that I was a slob..but NOW I can't even walk BY the sink without washing the dishes..it's ridiculous really..LOL..but some order in my chaos I think
2) I've learned that I had a lot to work on in me. I have finally figured out, after 20 years of marriage and a bomb, that the things that I thought were worth arguing about really weren't.
3) I've learned that I don't really like to be alone, but that I CAN be alone..I have been sleeping alone for at least the past month and I figured, once I was able to do that and really SLEEP, I had hit a milestone..and I can do it. Tho, to be honest, my saddest times seem to be about bedtime.
4) I've learned that I needed to get out there and do stuff: So I have been trying to go out with friends more and started a tai chi class this past week just for starters.
5) I've learned that it's ok to tell people about your sitch because people that really care about you really DO care about you and will check in with you to make sure you eat and are ok (my in real life friends always ask me that I"m eating because I've lost the 15 pounds in the ILYBNILWY diet
6) And I've learned that the people on this board are simply AMAZING and that you can love people you've never even met, you can care so much about people that you feel they are part of your family even if they are nowhere near you!
