She was actually increasing her life insurance coverage to over what her CU covers for free. It was a medical questionaire and it needed my signature as her spouse because I'm automatic beneficiary.
SHE didn't think I knew what it was.
Normally the spouse has to sign in order to be TAKEN OFF as automatic beneficiary on work retirement plans, insurance, etc.
Did you mean to take yourself off as beneficiary? It probably won't matter as nothing will probably happen to your W in the near future...
Guys, thanks to you all. I had the day off today, but stayed off the computer on purpose today.
My girls called me at 6:45 this morning. I'm sure the wife had her call me. D11 had to remind D7 to tell me happy b'day. I spoke to S14 around 8, while the wife was taking him to school.
The morning started off kinda hard. Pity party I reckon. Then Beej serenaded me and made my day.
Then my mom called. Then work called and the staff all sang happy birthday on the speaker phone. Then my dad called. Then B called. Then my brother called. Then K called me. Then an aunt texted me.
Nothing from you know who. No expectations, but actually, thats exactly what I expected.
Did a lot around the house. Took all the Christmas stuff out of the storage boxes. Washed all the Christmas dishes and stuff. Kids Christmas blankets. Cleaned up my laundry room of puppies 'stuff' because they have been inside for the past two days.
Didn't get to my lights, however. Dusted and set an All in One printer my mother gave me months ago, finally. Need to get ink, though.
How's that for a B'day?
K just called me and asked if I wanted to go have a drink at Pappasito's, so that is what I'm going to do tonight. I had to accept, because if not, I wouldn't have left the house all damn day. The wife is so thoughtful, isn't she?
