This has happened before in the financial world and it will happen again. The problem is that everyone panics and pulls out their money and then banks go boom(WaMu). The best thing is to talk to an adviser and stay calm. You should be able to get a statement and let your adviser look at it and see if other vehicles may be better for your goals.
