I think so. H isn't going to make the payment, and I don't have enough $$$ to cover that, plus taxes and insurance. So yeah, but maybe a good thing. It's very run down and I also don't have the money to make the repairs, like the CHA which would be thousands. So will move. But I'm just thinking of it as a fresh start, although I wish I could have waited a few months to do all this, but oh well... Karen

Thanks!!! Boy he's kept that quiet!!!

I went to the job interview this am. I didn't have my mojo or something or do as well as the last job interview (I didn't get). \:\) It was a guy around 50 and I tend to do better with women interviewers for some reason, harder to get rapport with guys in that situation. And he didn't ask me many questions. He was telling me about the job; it's definitely different. They help people getting out of psych ward transition to outpatient. He was saying taking them on errands, teaching them how to clean, cook, grocery shop, etc. (Me teaching cooking is the funniest thing I have ever heard!!!). He said the clients are often unbathed and stuff like that. I went in looking probably too prissy and perfect for that job although you know I'm not, but his description of the job did intimidate me a bit. He said he would check with my references and give me a call back next week. I was telling my L (she had me come in again to see her!) and she said it sounded like he already had someone ready to hire before my interview. So well at least it was practice then... Karen

Busy week this week. I took D9 to art club last night. Then went to our little town's Christmas parade. It was actually about a half hour long, didn't expect that, and they had 2 commentators discussing the floats & bands like it was Macy's Parade or something. Cracked me up b/c their comments were like: look at all the kids on that float or lots of lights on that one. So cheesy had to love it!!!

H had plans I guess with OW last night so picked the kids up tonight instead of his usual Friday night.

I took D9 to 2 art classes today, we made a gingerbread house this am (and then ate most of it this afternoon). All the other kids used all the colorful gumdrops and gummies and stuff, my daughter picked out all chocolate candy to decorate, Reese's,kisses, tootsies, m&m's etc. (That's my girl!) \:\) She was planning ahead to eating it and picked out all her favorites. \:\)

Then this afternoon we did another Christmas art class and D9 made & decorated a gift box, ornament, and a card. I went to the consignment shop this pm and got the legal papers from the owner and will look those over and sign them tomorrow.

I went to the art center yesterday & today (where I worked 2 days) and got hugs from everyone including the Director and chatted with everyone. Whew!

I came home from everything today and cleaned for about an hour, then went upstairs and worked out for an hour while D9 joined me upstairs. H sent D15 up to get D9 so that was nice. So I completely avoided him. I feel like emailing him and saying let's see how many months (or years) we can go by without seeing each other? but I won't of course. \:\) Hope everyone's having a good weekend! Karen

You've got a smart girl there choosing all chocolate!

Yep. Well I just finished up all kinds of legal stuff today. Typed a 3page document about IEP for our homeschool: how I'm addressing their adaptive behavior, communication skills, social skills, and prevocational... It cracks me up b/c S15's IEP when he was in school was "sit close to teacher", and some speech therapy they said they were too busy to do! But H is going to try to convince the judge that kind of stuff is preferable to one-on-one hsing I guess.

I did take a break to go to Bible Study tonight. It was a really great class; sometimes it's not always, but tonight was just really good. I needed to focus on something besides legal stuff and that was really more important (although I'm sure my L would not agree).

Came home and H had just dropped off the kids apparently a few minutes before I came home so I missed him. \:\) Besides the several other gifts and toys he'd gotten the kids, H bought D9 a new necklace with a bird which is also a bird calling whistle. OK, that was not my imagination he's trying to drive me crazy. I just put it on a special shelf to "keep it safe" and will make sure D9 takes it to her dad's this weekend I told her since he obviously enjoys the noisy toys so much! \:\) Karen

Karen,
I'm a special education teacher so if you need any help on that IEP let me know.

Yoyo

Well since you asked!!! \:\) My only experience with IEPs was my son's which was the sit close to teacher one. If I wrote that, I didn't think the judge would be impressed, although that's what public school IEP's are like around here!!

What I did was type up almost a resume of the interventions we've done: OT and speech therapy and a language/social skills program for D9 at FSU a few years ago. I use an autism program called "Teach Me Language" for autism spectrum kids so I listed that. S15 attends the Florida Virtual school so listed that. I listed all their activities: sports and girl scouts and church, as re: to the social and communication skills, and listed their volunteer work as well. Is there anything else I should list do you think?
