Quoting shinybear:
MAKE SURE that you take any sedation pain-relief they offer, ususally it's a demerol/ativan cocktail IV. NICE!

Good God, am I the ONLY one who had this done without any DRUGS? EVERYONE I know that has had it has gotten something or other. My dr. makes me

OK, I'm not talking about this any more....

Shiney,

In some ways, the prep is worse than the test itself!

That is a for sure!

The drug cocktail they put into my IV was so VERY nice.

As for results, I can say that NO polyps or tumors were found. Also, the doctor said that the CAT scans looked good.

I have a follow up with the doctor in about a week and half. Perhaps he can shed some light onto what might be causing the cramping (which I continue to experience).
As for the bleeding ... well ... who knows. Maybe it was something as simple as a broken blood vessel. Unless it keeps happening, I'm going to choose to dismiss it.

For now, I'm going to focus on putting some weight on and gaining a measure of strength back.

The weekend went pretty well for the most part. I was nervous and anxious about the possiblity of H reactivating his former plan for a partial seperation.
He didn't, but then again, we are down to one enclosed vehicle. We're having lots of rainy days around here. So it's back to a "wait and see" stance.
Gads, that position is uncomfortable! ...

Fran,

I know what you mean by being "put off" by reading someones entire string of threads. As much as I'd like to know the history of everybody I keep up with, it is a bit daunting to be that thorough.

Later,
Jeannine

Hi ya dfb, nice to talk to you again.

The prep is MUCH worse for the colonoscopy!!! I LOVED the drugs, though. It was almost worth getting the procedure done just for them...

Oh yeaaa!

Thanks Pam.

How are you holding up? I will get over to your thread as soon as possible. I've been keeping an eye on you but haven't had much opportunity to post.

Sage,

If it is any consolation, my sister had the proceedure done without any drug as well.

Your doctor has deprived you of one of life's happier moments though.

PnT,

I'm alright. My weekend was a bit tense but I was pleased by my own performance in facing my fears. I kept thinking of something that Sage had reminded me about a few posts back on my former thread ....(some) men really need to know that they are FREE to commit.

It seems that there are mult-layers to DBing. This weekend was more of a visceral exercise for me.

Hope all is going well with you.

Hi Jeannine,

Glad initial findings sound good and that the drugs were GOOD!

You sound stronger. Hope you feel that way.
