I am VERY eclectic in my musical stuff. But my bailout (how interesting that I picked that one) music is and always will be RUSH. It is an addiction that is in the vicinity of 27 years strong for me. They have been a staple with me for that long and I to them. It is almost borderline idolatry but I surely have my limitations. I do not quite worship them but they have an amazing energy and spirit that is immensely refreshing to me starting at my ears (which work far less after those 27 years ..especially with the many years of airplane racket as well) and spilling over to the rest of my cells. To me (and the rest of their faithful throng) they are truly skilled musicians who have a profound respect and for the craft and their fans. I have seen them on tour a couple dozen times. And because I am blessed to have the job that I do, I made use of my airport access badges to "conveniently" be present upon the arrival of their chartered Challenger Jet. The respect for their fans was evident in the fact that they shook my hand and gave me their 'John Hancocks'. Anyway ..enough about them.

Among the other wide array of music that I listen to (thinking to what is lingering around in the vicinity of my players) you would find:

1) Eric Bibb - an incredibly gifted soulful inverse blues (..my descriptor) acoustic guitarist/singer/writer

2) Seal - A blast from the past ..a nice one

3) The Canton Spirituals - A group of probably 5 or more black choral gospel performers from Memphis (I think) ..
----> I believe that was perhaps my intial foray into the Christian musical scene and I am extremely happy w/ that disk \:\)

4) Yes - another '70's icon that goes hand in hand with being a RUSH fan pretty much

And one recording that I can't count as my own because it has gone awol since my darling high-tailed herself to the other side of town is... Sarah McGlaughlin (doesn't look right ..but you get the pic). She is wonderful to listen to. That Mirabelle (or something close) performance ...WOW.
