But W texts me saying "d16 and I need cash - can you please make some available? Thank you."
My reply - "I am just going into a meeting out of office. Don't you have a significant balance of funds at your disposal in your account that was a reimbursement of expenses charged to the joint cr card?"
W: This is so that OUR daughter can do her xmas shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If that makes u feel good then so be it!! U do have an obligatigation
Me: I am done my meeting. I have no problem with $$ for d16's shopping. I simply asked a question about joint funds that you advanced to your account.
W: What joint funds??
I have not responded... yet. I did make some $$ available to D16.

No news from OMW since last Sunday. Reality may be starting to hit and make W panic which is ok by me.
An update for today. I let D16 know there was cash available. Since W said it was for D, I let her know how much was there, just so W couldn't take all of it and only give D16 a little bit. Well, I get a call at work a short time later.
W: Hi. Which account did you put the $$ in?
Me: The joint chequing account.
W: Shouldn't you have communicated that with me and not D16?
Me: You asked me to do it so I did it and you said the cash was for her so I let her know.
W: You should have communicated that with me.
Me: it is done.
W: How much?
Me: $x.
W: We are supposed to get all Xmas shopping done on $x?
Me: well that is Canadian so a little less in US. You have your own account don't you? And you still have credit cards.
W: Oh, you haven't cut those off?
Me: not yet.
W: well just try it. You have children you know.
Me: Yes I am well aware that I have children. And so do you.
W: well remember that. (silence for 15 seconds)
W: Thank you

Ok, I know it is late, but just spoke to friend who did not at all object to referring to them in e-mail. So here is the re-draft (slight edits) that will be sent...
W, I agree the kids will be very disappointed. You have more say in this than you let on, in fact you have ALL the say in this. Your affair is the only thing standing in our way, but I can't control you nor do I have any desire to. Friend mentioned they would rather not have us along because of what is going on and we can't afford this trip and go through a divorce. I would love nothing more than for you to stop the affair, work on the marriage, and continue fun trips with the family.
