Many of us are afraid of alone. Especially at first.
Face it, if you've been married for any significant period of time, you are used to having a partner. And even though we all tend to get lazy and take things for granted, we LIKE having someone to share life with.
But there are positives to being alone too. Especially after such a long time with a partner. For the first time in years you get to make decisions based solely on what YOU think. There is power in that. And far too few of us take advantage of that.
In the end Woog, you will NOT remain alone forever. Those who have had the capacity to love deeply in the past, have the capacity to love deeply again one day.
There is no rush, despite what we tell ourselves in our heads sometimes.
Embrace life. Find the good and truly appreciate it. Work on eliminating the bad. No need to keep that stuff around.
I believe that there are many women on this board who would attest to the fact that there is a bit of a shortage of strong, honest, capable, manly men in the world. So you're a rarity Woog, a hot commodity so to speak. Give it time.
Blessings,
Bill
