I never answer the door if it is someone I do not know and these days one has to be careful what you are buying, esp. food items from strangers that come knocking on your door.
I do think you were right and maybe this would be a good example to bring up at the next C session.
He changed his mind about coming over as a way to throw a tantrum and thinking that it would make you mad that he will not be over when he said he would be.
