I think your H should cut loose and drive the nice car on long trips. That's WHAT IT IS FOR!!!! Why buy a nice car and then sit it in the driveway? USE IT, baby! On long trips especially!

We were relaxing after dinner and then the door bell rang. It was solicitors. H said Glam go ahead and buy a box of chocolates. First of all, I don't really want chocolate in the house and second I just hate it when they go door to door selling wares.
I said to h, can't you say No. H was furious. Thought I was undermining him in front of the children. Said if I tell you to go ahead and buy a box of chocolates, then just do it don't ? what I say. I know this is really petty, but it's the small things that will get us in trouble.
I just need to think before I say something, because h sees this as I will never learn to listen. Sometimes I think he thinks I should be scene and not heard.
Well Sir my h will be in your neck of the woods on Sunday driving his car, so you are right he will use it! Too bad I have to work on Sunday or else we would have joined h.
He changed his mind about coming over on Friday now. Said see you on Sat.

Sir when we were looking at cars with h, the dealer had an Aston Martin. I just said very confidently, look h that's an Aston Martin. What an awesome car!
It just made me chuckle inside, because you are talking to a girl that knows nothing about cars. I just put it in drive and go!

I never answer the door if it is someone I do not know and these days one has to be careful what you are buying, esp. food items from strangers that come knocking on your door.
I do think you were right and maybe this would be a good example to bring up at the next C session.

The reason I was confused was why where solicitors selling chocolates????? In UK a solicitor is a legal person like an lawyerI guess for you.
here in the USA, people can come knocking on your door selling just about anything. we have had people come wanting us to buy magazine subscriptions, candy, you name it. most of the time, it is people out to rip you off.

Thanks Naej and MWG. It's ok that h isn't coming today. I was staring out the window thinking too bad h changed his mind.
He said he wanted to sleep and he had lots of work to do. I believe that, he could be a bit under the weather too. He had this long sleeved sweater on yesterday and said he was cold.
My h is never one to be cold. He Likes to sleep with the windows slightly open in the winter.
I wonder though if the sleeping is part of the depression. It seems like that is all he does on his down time is sleep.
I really didn't have anything planned for today anyway. I was going to try to take D4 to daycare today and then maybe wrap gifts and maybe take myself out to lunch. There is a shopping mall really close to where we live.
Now if h lived here I could just borrow his car. Oh well mine will have to do.

Hi glam- I hope your H realizes that he over-reacted. IMO, this is something that you definately need to bring up in C. Your H's attitude understandably bothers you. It seems to me that this kind of thing could cause continual problems for you both if you can't come to some kind of understanding.
I hope that you and your H can work through this and that you quickly get back on track. Things have been going so well for you. Hang in there.
