((((Ali, Michelle, BA, Lovely One))))

Gosh, you guys are more excited about H getting me a present than I am. Let's see- I'll get him something, but I think it'll just be a small thing, a scarf or a top or something. Maybe I'll wrap one of his tops that I have here and give that to him- at least I know he'll like it! ;\)

Michelle- thankyou!

BA- yes, it's the odd suspicion that maybe something's changing for him that's frustrating. Thankyou for the reminder on GALing and focussing on me. I needed that today.

Ali- his e-mails just read a bit differently- it's hard to explain.

Lovely- I'm glad you liked the dress, but unfortunately I might have to take it back. it doesn't seem to fit at home like it did in the shop!

So H and I have exchanged an e-mail every day this week. His tone is still a bit different (to e-mails of the past year, anyway). He's not complaining as much maybe, and he's busy at work. Today he sent me a follow-up e-mail to the first with a football quiz in it.

We're not going for a drink this week- he said he was thinking Monday or today but he forgot he had a work do on tonight and worked late on Monday. He suggested next week to 'definitely' go for a drink. I replied validating him being busy and hoping he'd have a good time tonight, and gave him an option of an evening next week for a drink. We'll see. It'll be straight after a conference H, CEO and I are all going to. That'll be interesting- last time H and CEO met, CEO was distinctly frosty to H and vice versa.

So, CEO and I exchanged a couple of Shakespearean insults today, which was fun. At one point we he said 'I know you think I'm an old man' to which I replied that I thought he was busy, not old. Maybe a touch of paranoia there, or maybe I'm doing something that makes him feel old (I'd only offered to format some slides for him as he told me he was really busy). How do you make a man feel young, anyway? Later on as we walked to the underground he was telling me that he's really tired and stressed. I think he needs someone to talk to about it so I tried to listen and validate, but I had to leave when he was mid-flow which was a shame.

Anyway, I'm the only one in the office tomorrow so it's going to be an easy day. I might go to the shops for a bit, although we're expecting snow tonight. If that happens I'm staying at home!
