(((((Ali))))) I'm going to talk to S20 first, to see what the heck she is talking about. Then I expect all three of us will talk about it some more. We are in the "best" school district in the area. I think mostly because it is outside of the city, and mostly a newly built area, other than the older ranches. So it is well off compared to the city, more money, and better educated parents. Not necessarily that they have a clue what they are doing. Anyway, S14 (and S10, too for that matter) is bored, and his attitude is slipping. (S10's is still ok, for now.) So, she is trying to come up with alternatives, and getting him into this "magnet" school is her latest scheme. I think the whole thing is pretty unlikely, and I don't even know what the requirements are to get into the school.
Since she already brought him into the situtaion, I think he will probably need to be a part of the dicussion to get him out of it. Hopefully with the agreement that it is not a good idea, and should be forgotten as soon as possible.
