On the drive back today, STBXW called from my house where she was packing up some of her things. She asked me if she could have a second chance. She then said that she will never be able to change her anger issues or her tight faced frowning looks. And she felt that I promised that I was going to wait until after a D before I saw someone else. She did not say anything like she loved me or why she wanted a second chance. I told her it was too late and I will not be the cause of anyone elses heartbreak (GF40 and her daughter). I refuse to give my kids hope only to have them dashed again. They seem pretty well settled with the way things are now.
So strange that the day before I go in to sign my final divorce document that she finally asks me to give the marriage another chance. I get the feeling that a lot of this is because she hears from the kids how much fun GF40, her daughter, myself and they all have together. I wonder if the luster of the rich 68 year old boyfriend has run its course.
and who on here saw that coming??
it matters not her reasons. What matters is she has taken no action. She has spoken words. I would have thought that if she really wanted back in the game she would have been taking concrete actions for a few weeks now by saying..Hey Kerry..I just started IC working on my issues or she could have been talking this (reconciliation)weeks ago instead of working on a settlement with her lawyer..It sounds like reality has laid the "smack down" on her..she's floundering. She may feel like she needs to be rescued...
