I am going to say this and I'm not defending anyone's actions. With the exception of people who go out and pick up hookers or call escort services, I don't believe any of these WAW/MLC/cheaters plan for any of this stuff to happen. I have come to believe that it is not intentional. The A or the resulting actions.
I read something a few months ago that I found to be very interesting. When a woman has sex with a man, her body releases hormones that cause her to be "addicted" to the man for 2 years. If she continues to be in proximity to him during that time, she will continue to want to have sex with him. Additionally, studies have shown that it is possible that a large number (I can't remember the percentage) of the people born in this country are not the biological father of the man who raises them. It has to do with the biological aspects of mating and survival. Something about women see a man with the characteristics she wants in child to make it strong and viable, has A and never tells anyone. It is an innate thing. That was on a documentary on either Discovery or TLC a few years ago. The study was older and actually went back to the 50's and 60's as well.
I am not trying to make light of it. It hurts like hell. But when I remembered that it made me look at this all a little differently. I was telling someone that I don't know if monogamy in a purly physical sense is really realistic. In the end we are biological creatures, part of the animal kingdom. However as humans with INTELLIGENCE, we like to forget that because we can reason. But do you know there are very few animals that mate for life and most of them are birds? We sometimes want to pretend that we don't have the same biological urges as dogs, cats, etc...The black widow spider mates and then kills the male so he will not be around anymore. Wouldn't that be interesting? Again not justifying, just trying to see another side to the whole thing.
