Bedroom looks great. I like the stripes! You should feel very proud of yourself.
I hope you have a good weekend - keep looking after yourself!

I wont be celebrating thanksgiving, but I too want to say thank you to all of my DB-ing friends. It has made such a difference to me to know that there were other people out there going through the same things, and that cared enough about my sitch to offer their advice. Who knows where all of us will be in another years time, but I know I'm happier and more thankful now than I've ever really been. (((DB-ing friends!)))

It's doors under the bed.... it is up on risers. There is a story behind the doors, let's just say it wasn't my idea! \:\)

I read that you're celebrating on Saturday - same with my family! But I'm leaving now to have a small dinner with my parents.

Have a great evening! \:\)

Jeff,

Wow, good job on the room!!!! Your room is so colorful. Did your wife make the quilt over the bed? Is that another one of her quilts in progress on the wall??

enjoy your lasagna... wish I could have some!!

I like the room Jeff! It's nice and I love that there are french doors that go outside. That's great! I've always wanted a room like that.

Enjoy!

The quilt over the bed is an old one made by W's grandmother, I believe. The squares on the wall are from things in progress, though not the ones she is working on right now.

I like the colors in the room. The green carpet was there to protect the real carpet when there was a table there, I should have taken it out, but then I'd have to put it somewhere!

I do need to put something over the windows on the doors! Though, in general, they are not in a place anyone really can see in. We had them covered, but W changed her mind about that, I think because of the light that was cut off. I'm still working on that one!

I've almost got the shopping list made!

Hi Jeff, Howabout some shutters? Would they be sympathetic to the style of your house? Then you can have the light but shut them at night or when you needed privacy-hmmmmm.

I guess you don't have to worry about losing heat through the french doors like we do over here, especially at this time of the year when they say draw your curtains at dusk to keep the heat in.
Have a good week end.

Jeff, good job on the room. Its lovely. May I make a few small suggestions? They sell bed skirts that are longer than normal. That may cover up the doors under the bed. Or do you have to have the bed on risers? And could you put the train stuff elsewhere for the weekend?

Otherwise, great job! And thanks for your support over this year!

I think I am going to look for something like this: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=112726&RN=130

(((((Donna)))))
I might look for an extended skirt. I'm bit sure where I'd put the doors if not under the bed, at least for now, so for now the bed will be on risers. The train stuff is just in the little cart in the corner, it is pretty out of the way.

So, W got home last night, found some food, and watched a movie with the gang before coming into the room. And said, in a very flat voice....

You bought a new comforter?

You bought new sheets?

Then I took the dog out.

I got back in, she was getting in bed, she seemed to be looking for something, so I asked if there was something wrong. She kind of grunted, I said, "Sorry, I thought you were looking for something"

Then she said...
"Can I turn off the light?"

That was the entire extent of her comments.

Almost seems that I should have left it a mess.

Though, I like it a lot better! \:\)
